Zhang Wuji + Zhao Zhiruo

The first girl Zhang Wuji met. He was ten years old, and good friends with her before she was taken to E’Mei. When she grew up to be a beautiful girl, she was in love with Zhang Wuji and almost married him, if not for Zhao Ming asking Zhang Wuji not to. She became heart-broken and evil temporarily before finally giving up Zhang Wuji to Zhao Ming.

Zhang Wuji + Yin Li

Zhang Wuji’s cousin from his mother side. However, she never knew of this fact, and so she fell in love with the fifteen-year-old Zhang Wuji who had bitten her hand during a fight. The love Zhang Wuji had for Yin Li was that of a brother to a sister, but he didn’t dare to tell her because she was fatally injured and dying. She finally died in Zhou Zhiruo’s hands.

Zhang Wuji + Xiao Zhao

She was pretending to be Zhang Wuji’s servant to find out the whereabouts of Xie Xun for her mother Granny Golden Flower, but in the midst, she fell in love with his kindness to her. In the novel, she’s described as the most beautiful of all four female leads. She finally left him to be Persian Ming Cult’s ’saint woman’ to saver her mother.

Zhang Wuji + Zhu Jiuzhen

The evil and manipulative girl that deceived naive Zhang Wuji to reveal the whereabouts of Xie Xun. Her kindness toward Zhang Wuji was all an act. Zhang Wuji received a big blow when realizing this, proving his mother’s words right: “The more beautiful a woman is, the more you have to be careful.”
