Welcome to the Forgotten Heroes, a shrine dedicated to the TVB series: Legend of the Condor Heroes '83, Return of the Condor Heroes '83, and Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre '86. They are all based on novels written by the famous kungfu novelist Jin Yong. He has done many other works aside from this trilogy, but in my opinion, these three by far have my utmost respect.
I have watched these trilogies countless number of times. Each time, every scene never cease to amuse me. Where else can I find a story about a man who's willing to wait 16 long years patiently and loyally for his wife? Or a story of extraordinary martial arts of the 18 Dragon's Palm performed by a dumb kid? Or an indecisive hero, struggling between four beautiful girls, and in the end giving up all and his status as leader to be the one he loves? These are but some of the many adventures from the trilogy that are worth mentioning.
These three novels have been adapted into the screen so many times that I lost track of them. But I can say one thing... that the best out of all of them, would be LOCH '83, ROCH '83, and HSDS '86, and therefore this tribute is presented only to them and not any other versions.
Almost all the links are up to date and integrated into the new system. Links are all working. I just need to complete the love story of Zhang Wuji & Zhao Ming, and update the character profiles of HSDS, and then I am DONE. I will no longer update this site and it will forever stay untouched. Until I get inspired for a new layout that is.
After three long years… I’m finally tending to this site again. The reason being is that I’ve started to watch the trilogy again. It’d been a long time and I caught myself smiling giddily when Guo Jing and Huang Rong are together. Felt like crying again when Yang Kang died in Mu Nianci’s arms. Ah, such beautiful original stories! Brings back memories.
And so, I’ve decided to give this site an update. Right now I’m just switching over to WP database so I can easily manage the files. However, maybe if I feel inspired I will put up a new layout. In any case, just stay tuned because it won’t be quick.
