LOCH - Introduction

The infamous Legend of the Condor Heroes, or for short LOCH, a novel by Jin Yong that has been adapted into TV series five times. TVB in ‘76 made the first adaptation, followed by the classical TVB’s LOCH ‘83 starring Felix Wong and Barbara Yung as Guo Jing and Huang Rong, which by far cannot compare to the others. Taiwan made the third in ‘88, and then again, a remake by TVB in ‘94. In ‘02, CCTV broadcasted the last version of LOCH.

Out of the five adaptations, I would have to say that ‘83 version is the best. It containted three parts: Tie Xie Dan Xin, Dong Xie Xi Du, and Hua San Luen Jian, making it a total of 59 episodes. Barbara Yung as Huang Rong was just too perfect! It was like the part was made only for her.
