LOCH - Guo Jing + Huang Rong

Guo Jing was born and raised Mongolia when his mother, Li Ping was evading attack from the Jins, he had never known the Mainland world. He was a good-natured child who grew up to be very kind and generous towards others, but not necessarily very bright.

Huang Rong, a mischievous young girl, brought up by Dong Xie Huang Yaoshi, grew up without a mother to teach her the ways of being a lady. Like father, like daughter; Huang Rong would throw tantrums one minute, and be very sweet the next.

Fate let them meet one day, though not in a very romantic way. Having been brought up in the solitude of Peach Blossom Island with only her father and some servants, she grew distrustful and cautious towards men. So she decided to disguise herself as a male beggar to find a nice enough man whom she would love.

Not long after their first meeting, Guo Jing and Huang Rong got along very well; all along Guo Jing thought Huang Rong was a man. When she revealed her true self, Guo Jing was quite taken by her beauty. Immediately he neglected all thoughts about being the Mongolian Prince Consort.

Back in Mongolia, the Mongolian Princess Hua Zheng fell in love with him and managed to get her father to reward herself to Guo Jing, who was too dumb to refuse even though he’d only regarded her as a sister. That was how he became Mongolian Prince Consort.

Together, they ventured the world and developed even deeper feelings for each other, each saving the other’s life many times. They also faced numerous obstacles, such as Huang Rong’s father Huang Yaoshi, Guo Jing’s teachers the Jiang Nan Qi Guai, Qiu Chuji, Hua Zheng’s relentless pursuit of Gui Jing even after she was repeatedly rejected, etc.

Guo Jing and Huang Rong went through a brief misunderstanding when his eldest teacher Ke Zhen’e told him Huang Rong’s father had killed the rest of Jiang Nan Qi Guai. Even though at heart he still loved Huang Rong, out of duty and respect to his dead teachers, he couldn’t be with the daughter of their killer.

When the misunderstanding was cleared, it was too late for Guo Jing to go back and look for her, as she was captured by Ouyang Feng and was forced to translate Jiu Yin Zhen Jing for him. Guo Jing was missing her terribly and went back to Mongolia when his search for her came to no avail.

In Mongolia he was made general by Genghis Khan. In their war against the Jin empire, with the help of the Gai Bang elders, he managed to win. He started having suspicions that Huang Rong was helping him using the Wu Mu Yi Shi, through the Gai Bang elders.

His suspicion was confirmed when Huang Rong showed up in front of him, telling him the reason she didn’t want to appear was because Guo Jing had said that if Huang Rong was dead, he would stay unmarried, and if she was alive, he would marry Hua Zheng.

In the end, Huang Rong helped Guo Jing and the Mongolians defeat the Jin empire. When the Mongolians turned to the Song dynasty, Guo Jing wanted to leave Mongolia, but was threatened by Genghis Khan. His mother killed herself in front of everybody, to remind him of where he came from and what his purpose in life was.

He abandoned Mongolia, together with Huang Rong, they walked hand in hand towards an unknown future of war with the Mongolians.
